Reviews are streaming in for Drew Barrymore‘s 70s roller derby chick flick starring Ellen Page, Kristen Wiig and a teensy Ellen Page. While an Entertainment Weekly review of Whip It! claims that it lacks much bite, it does give kudos to the kitsch factor, as well as to a snarling Juliette Lewis.

As for Drew, she showed off a drastic new do at the Toronto Film Festival premiere for the film. The actress–who recently went back to her blond roots–is mixing it up with an extra layer of black.

Only time will tell if she keeps the layered look for her upcoming gig on Saturday Night Live on October 10, with Shakira slated as the musical guest for the evening.
