Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge took a walk along the beach with sister Pippa Middleton on Llanddwyn Island in Anglesey, North Wales Saturday.  According to Welsh folklore, the island is home to st. Dwynwen, the patron saint of lovers.  Anglesey History states that “Llanddwyn Island (Ynys Llanddwyn) is a magical place. Located at the far end of a pleasant beach near Newborough Warren, this narrow finger of land is an ideal picnic site during fine weather, but also an exhilarating place when the winter winds blow. Its rolling dunes, large rock outcrops and mixture of historic buildings makes it an ideal place for an afternoon of exploration.”  Oooh!

Catherine wore a ballerina pink cowl neck sweater over grey leggings, topping off the look with Le Chameau wellies (props to What Kate Wore for that tip).  Pippa wore a navy cardigan over a button-down with boot-cut jeans and sneakers.  Just a day before, Catherine and Prince William visited with those affected by the Birmingham riots.  Catherine, in an outfit by Alexander McQueen, thanked emergency staffers for working so hard to aid victims.

Catherine’s wedding dress and accessories – including the bouquet, heels and earrings – have been a hit at Buckingham Palace’s Summer Opening.  A spokesperson from The Royal Collection stated, “The dress has a great appeal. We have been selling out by lunchtime. The wedding attracted worldwide interest so it’s only natural that many people want to come and take a closer look at the Duchess of Cambridge’s dress.  The summer opening of Buckingham Palace is the hottest ticket in town. We are thrilled so many people have visited.”
