The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the UK premiere of War Horse at the Odeon Leicester Square tonight (January 8th) in London. This premiere was unique in that it raised money for the Foundation Of Prince William And Prince Harry, of which Catherine is a patron.
The Duchess of Cambridge looked like otherwordly in a custom-made black lace Temperley London gown, which my Twitter friends and I noticed was a beautiful combination of the lace Erdem dress Catherine wore on her first day of her Canadian tour with Prince William, and the neckline from her Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen weddig gown.
Catherine kept the jewels subtle, with diamond drop earrings hidden behind her perfectly tended locks, her sapphire engagement ring and a striking diamond bracelet.
Her Royal Highness had everyone forgetting about Joey the horse, who had to be taken off the red carpet since Catherine is allergic to horses (though St. James Palace denies this, according to royal reporter Richard Palmer). Joey played the title role in Steven Spielberg‘s WWI film and had a special kind of entourage with him: “Joey the horse is here. Poop scoops at the ready….” Palmer tweeted.
Following the premiere, William and Catherine hosted a private reception at Buckingham Palace for foundation donors, according to The Mirror‘s Victoria Murphy.
What do you think of The Duchess of Cambridge’s look at tonight’s premiere?
