It looks like 86-year-old Ed McMahon has gone to that big check cashing place up in the sky.

The longtime Tonight Show sidekick died at a Los Angeles hospital this morning, suffering from a “multiple of health problems the last few months,” according to his agent Howard Bragman.

An insider dished to the Associated Press that McMahon had been suffering from bone cancer, along with a litany of other medical issues.

Ed was best known for introducing the late Tonight Show host Johnny Carson with his trademark announcement of “Heeeere’s Johnny!” He was a frequent spokesperson for various products and acted as host on the talent show Star Search.
