Ellen Page Has a Lot of Love to Give

March 2nd, 2008 // 11 Comments

Ellen Page poked fun at the rumors that she might be a lesbian, by starring in a skit on Saturday Night Live, in which she plays a young woman who finds herself inexplicably drawn to women after attending a Melissa Etheridge concert. The tomboyish young actress played a character who describes herself as “an oil lamp that had never been lit,” saying after the concert, “now I’m finally burning bright with sister fire.”

Her boyfriend, played by Andy Samberg, asks her if she’s gone gay and she responds by rolling around on the floor, legs splayed and asking, “Why cant I just hug a woman with my legs in friendship?”

Because then she’ll want to move in with you. I’m just saying…
