Emily Blunt’s new film The Adjustment Bureau, co-starring Matt Damon, hit theaters nationwide yesterday. The actress has been busy promoting the intriguing thriller through various press outlets, and had quite a bit to say regarding how the idea of The Bureau can be viewed as a God-like higher power:
“The Adjustment Bureau is an idea of some kind of higher power, where you want to believe it’s a God-type thing or a Big Brother effect. They have these plan books for everyone in the world and we’re all supposed to have a predetermined path. So their job, if people go off the path, is to kind of make small adjustments so that we’re on some fatalistic path. So our characters meet and really fall in love really quickly but it’s not supposed to be in our plan. So the whole movie is about ‘Fate versus free will’ and us trying to be together and the Adjustment Bureau trying to keep us apart.”

The beautiful actress, pictured looking casual and stylish in West Hollywood yesterday, has previously starred in Wolfman (which won the Academy Award for Best Makeup last weekend) and is set to have a small part in the new “Muppets” movie, co-written by Jason Segel.
Check out Emily’s interview after the jump!

I have just watched the film. Emily you were great. Matt as always so convincing. I continued to watch only because of you. What a line up of actors, they all played their part so well. The problem was the story…it was half-baked and badly researched. It treats the viewer like an idiot. Never do this again!
Matt Damon is an A- lister therefore minimum $1million per movie and probably very much more. Would I have made this movie if I were him? You bet!…..Not down to me to discriminate…just get the cash. But who is it down to? What half-wit comissioned this script?
