It seems that The Office star, John Krasinski, has found his Pam Beasley. The 29-year-old actor has proposed to girlfriend, Emily Blunt. Both have been quietly dating one another with Blunt having previously ended her 3-year relationship to singer Michael Buble in July 2008.

Krasinski, who has dated his co-star from The Office, Rashida Jones, confirmed the announcement through his rep, who told People magazine, “We can confirm that John and Emily are engaged.”

In August of 2007, John confessed to Glamour magazine what his preferences in the opposite sex were. “It’s not about celebrity or not,” Krasinski told the mag. “It’s all about, do you have that ‘girl in a cardigan’ in you. You gotta have that.”

It would appear then, that Emily’s cardigan-wearing abilities are up to snuff.
