In an alternate universe, someone else is playing Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spiderman.

That’s right; Emma Stone nearly turned down the role in the reboot series. Then she auditioned with on-screen love interest turned real-life boyfriend, Andrew Garfield, and realized that the movie showed a “really interesting, fantastic relationship between two people.”

Translation: sparks flew as soon as you two met. Right, Emma?

The couple seems to be going to strong and were spotted walking hand-in-hand in downtown NYC yesterday morning. With Stone’s hair still blonde, the two can seriously pass as their Spiderman characters. Let’s hope that this love story isn’t as ill-fated as their on-screen one!
