Right now, Emma Watson is in the midst of a publicity blitz to promote Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. But the British actress continues to talk about her plans to go off to college and she couldn’t be more excited about the prospect of leaving the red carpet behind.

The star told the Telegraph, “I don’t want to put a negative light on it, as if I’m escaping or anything like that, but I’m just looking forward to being a normal teenager for a bit and meeting people my own age.”

However, she cleared up any talk about going cold turkey with with the whole acting thing. “There seems to have been a lot of confusion in the media, because I’m going to university, that university and acting are mutually exclusive–that I can’t act as well as study at the same time. I seem to have managed it up to this time!” True to her word, the actress is crossing a visit to David Letterman‘s talk show off her to-do list.
