The ever-playful Justin Timberlake played host on the stage for the ESPY Awards last night, poking fun at Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo. The jokey pop star referred to the couple as “RoJo” and/or “Tessica.” He put on a blonde wig and reprised the role of Jessica, whom he’d played once before in an SNL skit spoofing her reality series Newlyweds. Wow, that kind of made me sad for her for a second.

Of course, Justin had to reference his most memorable participation in a sports event when he joked about his infamous “wardrobe malfunction” experienced with Janet Jackson. Timberlake joked, “I wanted to be the only guy at a football game to get to second base!”

Oh Justin. You’re so crazy. And my understanding of sports is so basic that I just barely understood that…
