Evan Rachel Wood Signs On For ‘Spider Man’ Musical

We have a new Mary Jane Watson folks. Evan Rachel Wood has signed on for the role of Mary Jane in the state musical Spider-Man. Wood had to pull out of the film Sucker Punch in order to star in the Julie Taymor directed Broadway show.

The musical, which will feature tracks by U2 stars Bono and The Edge, will reunite Taymor with Wood – she previously directed the 21 year old in 2007 movie Across The Universe.

I wonder what Evan’s new boy toy Shane West thinks about all of this. I can see some role playing going on between them. I’m thinking Shane could rock a Spider Man costume.
