Even fashion designers like Karl Lagerfeld and Giorgio Armani need a holiday every once in awhile.  Lagerfeld let his hair down (or in the Chanel czar’s case, took his glasses off) in St. Tropez yesterday, while Armani got his tan on in Ibiza July 26th.  BTW, Mr. Armani-Well done.  You look fantastic.  Can ya’ll believe he’s 77?

Both men vacationed with younger, vurrrry attractive male friends.  Hats off, old boys.  You work hard, so enjoy your vacation.

According to WWD (via The Huffington Post) Lagerfeld will launch Karl Lagerfeld for Impulse in 235 Macy’s doors come August 31st.  The line, targeted at women age 24-30, will feature pieces ranging from $50-170, including tweed, dresses and statement jackets.  Lagerfeld created a trend for high-end designers collaborating with lower-priced retailers ever since he collaborated with H&M. Lagerfeld will make an appearance at Macy’s Herald Square in early September.
