Even In Her Death, Anna Nicole’s Legal Battles Rage On

February 9th, 2007 // 6 Comments

Anna Nicole Smith’s mysterious passing happened as abruptly and as strangely as that of her son, Daniel, five months ago. Her attorney, Ron Rale has disclosed to the media that for the past few days, Anna had been exhibiting symptoms similar to the flu. However an autopsy is scheduled for today in order to try and conclusively establish what caused Smith to lose conciousness, as well as her subsequent death.

Anna’s passing has done little to slow down the paternity battle that is raging between ex-boyfriend, Larry Birkhead and Smith’s lawyer and sort-of husband, Howard K. Stern over Anna’s 5-month old daughter. No sooner had word spread that Smith had expired, than a member of Birkhead’s legal team demanded that a swab of Anna’s DNA be taken from her corpse in order to move forward with the court-mandated paternity testing.

This is all so damn depressing. It’s really making me pine for the days when we couldn’t stop talking about Cisco Adler’s genitalia. OK, maybe not THAT depressing.

According to several source, the attorney for Larry Birkhead felt compelled to ask for a DNA sample from Smith because the paternity battle will continue.

The fear was that if the baby is produced for a DNA test, they will need to comfirm that it is the baby in question, and not a ‘stand in’. Therefore, Smith’s DNA will be used to confirm that Smith was the mother.

    Sad, but understandable.

WOW! I find that strange that no one thinks that she was killed for 1.8 billion dollars! She loved her son and missed him, but I don’t think she would kill herself because of that. We all know Nicole was unstable and I think they used that to make her death look like an over dose or something. I think she wouldn’t do this to her brand new baby. If there’s one thing to live for it would be your child.

Anyone ever think that maybe the new baby is her SON’S?? We all know how mentally unstable she was, maybe she knew that the truth would come out and she didn’t want to live with everyone shaming her for having sex with her son. Her son’s death, and now her death? Seems a little coincidental if you ask me. Just a thought.

WTF Loob? He’s a monster because he believes the little girl is his child, & he wants to step in & take care of her, like any father should? I think Anna Nicole & Howard were/are the monsters. If Danielynn is really theirs, why not do a DNA test? It will prove they are/were telling the truth.

    Charlene and Rachael,

I agree with you both. I’ve been thinking since approximately 3pm yesterday that there’s a really strong possibility that she and Daniel may have concieved that child. What other reason for all of this secrecy? I mean, she’s NEVER been the type to live under the shroud before. I mean, she did reality television, she battled in the public eye for years over her late husband’s fortune, she seems to have lived for the spotlight. Why wouldn’t you be as forthcoming with the paternity issue? Seems pretty damn fishy to me. Still, it sucks that something like that may have driven her to suicide. Poor thing…
