Fanjayas Everywhere Devastated

I don’t watch the show but something about this chick made me smile. Maybe it was the big grin or the hairstyles. Or the fact that voting for him meant dismantling this mess. Because seriously, I’m over it. Everyone who wins is basically the same. Though I’m not gonna front – I’ve had “Since U Been Gone” stuck in my head since 2004. Sanjaya got voted off last night .

The combined efforts of Howard Stern, votefortheworst.com and an army of Fanjayas may have delayed the inevitable, but Sanjaya Malakar finally got what was coming to him.

The 17-year-old Seattle native was eliminated from American Idol Wednesday night, following a performance of Bonnie Raitt’s “Something to Talk About” that Simon Cowell deemed “utterly horrendous.”

Despite a few tears, Malakar managed to hold it together as he prepared to sing his goodbye song.

“I’m fine,” he told Ryan Seacrest. “It was an amazing experience.”

“American Idol” has a charity show coming up with performances by a whole slew of people including Michael Bublé, Kelly Clarkson, Céline Dion, Il Divo, Josh Groban, Annie Lennox, Pink, and Gwen Stefani. Annie Lenox? Damn this show gets some names. Did Sanjaya at least get to meet Michael Buble? I hope so. Why? Because Michael Buble is a sexy Canadian muthaf*cka.
