“The Mariah” had donated two fur coats to PETA so some refugees could look fierce in their cardboard boxes and grocery carts. The floor length furs were being shipped via UPS where one was lost. Each mink coat was worth $7,500. Her donation was for the animal rights group’s annual winter drive. UPS will be writing a check for the charity to cover the cost of the lost coat. One of PETA’s sources spoke of the incident.

“One coat was on its way to Switzerland, where it was to be included in a sealed container bound for Mongolia to be included in a Swiss Animal Protection Society drive – but the coat never arrived.”

The other coat arrived in LA safely. It will be used as a prop for demonstrations thanks to the graffiti artist Marcus Suarez.
