Fitty Calls Oprah an “Oreo”, Goes Into Hiding

November 30th, 2006 // 6 Comments

50-Cent puts Oprah on blast in the January issue of Elle according to Page Six.

OPRAH Winfrey is really an Oreo – black on the outside but white on the inside, according to 50 Cent. In the January issue of Elle, the rapper says Winfrey “started out with black women’s views but has been catering to middle-aged white American women for so long that she’s become one herself. I think the idea of being publicly noted that she’s a billionaire makes [black women] interested in seeing her views. But it’s even more exciting to the demographic of white American women she’s been aiming at to see that she has the exact same views that they have.”

Is he mad? Does he know the reach she has? She says the word, and thousands of American women will stream out of their homes, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Gymboree, and Barnes & Noble to find and kill his ass.

I’m not an Oprah boy, but in her defense – she got America to read, and he thought it was amusing to dress his toddler in a bullet-proof vest. You do the math.

Oprah Winfrey fans swarmed Twitter in the days after she posted her first "tweet" on the microblogging site. Hundreds of thousands of hip-hop fans are taking to Ning, where rapper 50 Cent started his own social network. But the benefits go both ways.

Even though 50 Cent as a messenger could be questionable, the message I mostly agree with. Ludacris said the same thing about Oprah when I think he was talking about the movie Crash, or maybe it’s something different: http://www.hiphopmusic.com/archives/001742.html

I think Oprah has a lot of lemmings, and having that sort of power over people…it’s definitely a sobering thought, if not scary. It makes me wonder if Americans can think for themselves.

I’m not a big fan of her because of who she primarily caters to as well. Check out her audience and who she has on her shows–leaves out a lot of minorities and men (but not surprised about the men part).

That Oreo tag is rather controversial, though, having been called one before. I do get the feeling though that black men in America aren’t thinking Oprah’s a goddess like the rest of America does.

Fitty should expand his horizon and think outside the box. There are no rules that say how one should behave when skincolor is X. Fitty should just admit he doesn’t like Oprah, because she is too difficult for him to understand. Retard! Pffff

50 said this in an interview for Elle magazine. That long celebrated bastion for hip hop street cred…….

I see every mini van in America as a potential instrument of death for Fiddy. He messed with wimmins who care pool screaming kids. He’s a dead man.

Ummmm, what exactly would be catering to black women, Fitty? Perhaps never referring to them as anything but bitches and hos? Oprah is more gangsta than he ever thought about being, and unlike those other folks who shot at him, you know Oprah is a perfectionist…she isn’t going to miss!

I am starting to think she is catering to the white viewers more and more these days. I really did not like the show with the all of the white singers…. that was really for white folks. I just don’t understand her.
