Suzanne Somers is in some hot water now. Her new book had caused quite a ruckus in the medical community. Dr. Erika Schwartz, a Manhattan internist on the board of the SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, explained to Page Six:
“We believe ‘Ageless: The Naked Truth About Bioidentical Hormones’ is detrimental and dangerous to the thousands of women who will read it. The book freely and repeatedly blurs the line of medical ethics and science with hearsay.”
Dr. Schwartz and five other savvy top doctors have written angry letters to Suzanne regarding the lack of factual advice given and stated, “we cannot stand by and allow non-experts to dispense medical advice that could potentially harm women.”
In the book, which is obviously targeted to older women, Somers claims that she has the secret to a “‘medically validated approach that can help reverse the aging process and maintain a healthy, vibrant, mentally sharp, sexually active life – while building the body’s natural defenses against age-related diseases.”

While Suzanne couldn’t be reached for comment a rep from her publisher, Crown, did defend that blondie “spoke with 16 credentialed doctors whose interviews are all included in the book.”
First, I thought the gay Mafia whacked her back in ’03. Secondly, I would like to point out to Suzanne and Star Jones that speaking with doctors or lawyers does not magically make you a medical professional or an attorney. Stick to your Thigh-Master Suzi.

I say go-go Suzanne! Anyone stupid enough to take medical advice from this ding-dong needs to be removed from the “human genome project” as quickly as possible.
