Almost six years after the fact, Fred Durst is still talking about the “relationship” he had with Britney Spears, one which she has never publicly acknowledged. Now pushing forty, the Limp Bizkit frontman is speaking out again about their connection.
The two reportedly first hooked up at the 2003 American Music Awards, after which time rocker wrote on his band’s website that he’d “never felt this way.” Meanwhile, Britney told Glamour magazine that Durst was misinterpreting the situation: “I think he leaped in too deep, too quick.” I have a feeling after their first tryst, Britney found herself asking Fred, “Wow, you get really girly after, huh?”
Now, Fred told MTV News, “It just became a fiasco of madness. [But] I always stay true to my heart and true to everything I did and my intentions, and I am in no way a liar.” Durst adds, “I just guess at the time it was taboo for a guy like me to be associated with a gal like her.” Ha! You know he’s thinking that now that she’s done with slimeball Adnan Ghalib, he might have a chance. Yay! Here’s to lowered standards following nervous breakdowns!
