Supermodel Cindy Crawford is currently dealing with allegations that her husband Rande Gerber sexually harassed to former employees. But the couple are not alone. They’re finding support from their A-list actor buddy George Clooney.
Clooney, who is currently hard at work on his film Up in the Air, staunchly believes that the claims are unfounded. The actor told Access Hollywood in a released statement, “I was with Rande the entire night — as were a lot of people–they will all say the same thing that I’m saying. This event never happened. Period.”
The night in question is alleged by former server at Gerber Bars Shelly Scott to have been the date when businessman Rande made unwanted sexual advances toward her. Scott’s legal time claims, “Rande Gerber attempted to kiss Scott three times during the night. Each time, Scott rebuffed Rande Gerber and moved away.”
It’s a case of he-said, she-said. But for his part, Gerber claims to have numerous witnesses, including Clooney, who will testify to the invalidity of these claims. As for George, he knows an apple a day keeps the lawsuits away.

Have to say, that if you’re going to defend yourself against a sexual harrassment lawsuit, having the first name of “Rande” can’t help.
I believe the woman, but she won’t get anywhere with this. Why? Gerber has all the money in the world to fight her. Sad but true. And I highly doubt that George Clooney was near Rande Gerber EVERY second of the night. Please.
This could backfire massively for GC. Right after that night in question, in October 2008, there were blog posts from the girls he spent time with about how the Cloonester was falling-down drunk, how much Tequila he had consumed… I think they even had photos.
Sanity and reason would tell anyone to stay out of a thing like this, but I guess that ship has sailed for George, his closest confidante recently seems to be alcohol.
