Having arrived in Venice with his sexy new girlfriend, George Clooney, is putting aside partying for the time being to get to work promoting his film, The Men Who Stare at Goats.

The dapper star–who spends lots of time at his villa on Lake Cuomo–posed for pictures at a photocall with his co-stars Ewan McGregor and Grant Heslov.

The story of the film is based on a book which focuses on the U.S. Army’s experiments with the paranormal, specifically with using psychics. Clooney tells reporters of the movie, “As funny as it is, some of the dumbest parts of the film are the true parts.” Isn’t that always the case?
