Does anything bear this close of an examination?
Apparently peeps were speculating as to why George Clooney looked grouchy at the Oscars (with some pointing at the flask in his pocket), and now Entertainment Weekly has all the answers.
It seems that hosts Steve “When did I turn into George Burns” Martin and Alec Baldwin spoke with George before the show to get him in on the joke they made during their opening banter.
But no one can seem to explain the haircut. It must be sexy-bachelor-living-in-an-Italian-villa thing. We all know how that can be.

I don’t understand why people are so dumb. This has been talked about for a week. It was obvious that he was in on the joke and “acting” like he was miffed. Remember the whole Ricky Gervais / Steve Carell thing at the Emmys? Staged as well.
