The day Joaquin Phoenix announced his departure from acting to pursue music, Casey Affleck “just happened” to be nearby on the red carpet of the Paul Newman charity event to add a “I don’t think he’s kidding. He’s got music and stuff.” When Joaquin took the stage at LAVO for a rap premiere Casey was there to film it for a “documentary.” Casey was probably backstage at that infamous David Letterman appearance, too.

If you haven’t guessed, it was all for a mockumentary.  Affleck 2.0 is currently shopping it around and word is a deal will be made in the next few days.

Phoenix must be psyched to finally take a shower and see his chin after a year and a half. The clean shaven actor-again headed out to Bardot lounge yesterday for some Cinco de May festivities.
