Baring her soul and skin on the big screen is what earned Penelope Cruz a Golden Globe nomination for her role in her movie, Nine. Up for best supporting actress in a musical or comedy, Cruz is decidedly less bold when it comes to discussing her personal life–most specifically her romantic relationship with boyfriend, Javier Bardem.
Recently, Cruz admitted to Bang Showbiz, “It’s obvious that I’m in a relationship. And the reason I don’t want to talk abut it is to protect it, because it’s important to me. It’s as simple as that.”
After dating someone as high-profile as Tom Cruise, can you really blame the woman? I guess she won’t be jumping on a couch any time soon. A small stool, maybe, but not a couch.
