Gossip Girl‘s Ed Westwick attended the International Award and Young Americans’ Challenge Benefit Gala in New York City last night. Looking as dapper as Chuck Bass (minus any trace of paisley), Westwick worked the red carpet before joining the likes of Kirstie Alley and HRH Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex (Queen Elizabeth‘s youngest son) inside the Pierre Hotel.
When we last left GG, Chuck insisted Blair be with Prince Louis despite admitting that he was, is and always would be in love with her. Knowing he wouldn’t be able to give his Blair bear 100%, nor wait all night in hopes that she would show up (like Louis did at the Constance Billard ball), Chuck set Blair free to be a princess. For those of you who prematurely bought hats for the royal wedding next season, save those receipts.

According to Ace Showbiz, the CW announced that Louis’ sister, played by French actress/model Roxane Mesquida, will attempt to break up the couple before they say “I Do.” Odds are this bitch is related to Lilly van der Woodsen-Humphrey, whose nasty little ankle bracelet confined her to a summer of central air and peon-watching from her UES balcony.
