Our favorite “Sound of Music” groupie is entering the fragrance field, according to Starpulse.

Coty Inc. announced a global licensing agreement with Gwen Stefani, to develop and market fragrances for her L.A.M.B brand. This marks Gwen’s entrance into the beauty category. The fragrance, debuting in Fall 2007, will reflect the unique blend of verve, style, and vivacity of L.A.M.B.

“Creating a fragrance is one of the most prestigious things a designer can do… For me it’s like another thing you can wear and another thing I can creatively be a part of,” said Stefani.

Prestigious, definitely. She’s joining the ranks of Jacklyn Smith, Derek Jeter, Alan Cumming, and that bastion of international taste and style – Daisy Fuentes. I’m guessing L.A.M.B or whatever the hell she’s going to call it will smell like cubic zirconium and hairspray. Not that I’ll ever find out, because all I wear is Elizabeth Taylor’s “White Diamonds”. That scent brings the boys a’runnin’. “These have always brought me luck,” I drawl seductively.
