In a photo taken by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour was hit with a pie by anti-fur demonstrators as she attended a Paris fashion show on Saturday. PETA’s vice president, Dan Mathews, said the pie — a vegetarian tofu tart — was retaliation for the magazine’s decision to run fur ads while refusing to use PETA’s anti-fur messages, though the animal rights group offered to pay the same fee.
