Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry‘s bitter custody battle for daughter Nahla reportedly went over the top because of Berry’s commitment to the movie New Years Eve. For her role in the Gary Marshall film, Berry was given compensation for Aubry and Nahla to stay in NYC for two weeks during shooting. However, at the last minute, Aubry refused to come.
“When Gabriel refused to go, that became a factor in her decision to pull out of the film because she didn’t feel right leaving Nahla,” said the source. “No job is that important to Halle. Nahla comes first.”
Berry, pictured driving in L.A. yesterday, was then replaced by Katherine Heigl and the gloves came off. She is now seeking custody of the two-year-old and Aubry has stooped to name calling. Personally, I don’t think I’d want to mess with Halle Berry: she has good arms!
