Academy Award winner Halle Berry is the cover girl for Vogue‘s biggest issue of the year: The September Issue. When she was offered it, Berry jumped at the chance because it meant so much to her as both an actress and a woman. Berry’s going to be uber-busy this coming year-She’ll be begin filming the thriller, Dark Water, in South Africa. After that, she’ll start on Shoe Addicts Anonymous (think First Wives Club for shoe addicts), and she’s got the indie film, Frankie & Alice coming out in October. Oh, and she’ll be appearing on Broadway in The Mountaintop with Samuel L. Jackson.
Berry’s main priorities these days is her daughter Nahla, who refers to mom as “Halle Blueberries.” In addition to Nahla, Berry’s other great joy is being a part of the domestic violence charity The Jennesse Center. Berry’s mother was a victim of domestic abuse, so this cause is very dear to the actress’s heart.
Want more scoop on Berry? Vogue conducted a really spectacular interview with her, tagging along on workouts, attending a dinner party at Berry’s Malibu pad, and witnessing Berry’s work with the Jennesse Center.
Taking time out to enjoy life, Berry went to lunch at Toast in West Hollywood with friends back in July.
