Halle Doesn’t Want Any Chit-Chat, Thanks

January 19th, 2007 // 9 Comments

TMZ is reporting that Halle Berry prefers it as quiet as possible and feels she’s paying enough money so that she doesn’t need to be spoken to.

TMZ has learned that an Orange County painting company has been called to spruce up cabinets in Halle Berry’s Los Angeles home, which the Oscar winner been remodeling for over a year. The company has been asked to merely stain the existing wood cabinets in the kitchen … with a staggering $57,000 pricetag!

The contract between the actress and all those doing work on her property has a few interesting clauses: First, any worker is prohibited to approach Berry while in the home or on the premises. Second, no one is allowed to speak to the A-list Miss B at any time. Finally, the only approved interaction is if Halle speaks to you, then you may answer Her Fineness.

She sounds like a real winner. I know that’s a lot of money but what if someone needs to know where the bathroom is? Fine, then if I saw the house was on fire I wouldn’t say a damn word to her.

This may explains her frigid womb! She’s always been a strange one, who would look like her and pick the men she has in the past? Cheaters and beaters, who knows what the present one is into.

Also, who pays 57K to get kitchen cabs stained? Unless they are using liquid gold, she’s seriously being over charged.

Why would we have any problem with this? She’s constantly besieged by ‘razzi and fans and fer God’s sake, she has a right to quietude in her home. I say go, Halle! It’s a perk of fame, and why not.

these celeb types REALLY need to get over themselves! people are people, for God’s sake! share a smile with a stranger/kitchen-cabinet stainer — it might just add some karma points to your count… and who couldn’t use some more of those?!

I would do the same thing, because who wants people spreading business about them all over the internet.

Polite exchange or not, people always have a way of twisting things and printing for the world to see.

Ok. So, we’re looking at a bunch of pics of her finishing up her shopping and walking to her car – I mean it’s clear someone just let that shutter snap non-stop. She’s not freaking out or swearing, but you could tell she probably just wanted to be able to do her shopping unimpeded. And yet you’re berating her for setting bounderies for the bunch of strange blue-collar dudes who are going to be stomping around her home, her only sanctum? There’s a story of an actress here in NYC who was murdered last year by a contractor who was upset that she asked him to keep the noise down. A friend of mine was stalked for a while by a guy who painted her living room. And now you’re attacking a woman who can’t even run to the post office without a cadre of paps following her for setting bounderies in the one place that she has a sense of privacy and safety? No one may bother you in your life or make catcalls when you walk by or even give you a second glance, so until you live the life, don’t judge the behavior. She’s just trying to protect herself. by most accounts, she seems to be a pretty decent person.
