Alexis Arquette is one of my favorites. Many many moons ago, I was at a club in LA and this chick (before she was an actual chick) was dancing on a platform dressed like Joan Jett. And I thought – who is this transfixing creature (with the emphasis on “trans”)?
Alexis is my favorite Arquette. Then Rosanna, then Patricia and I don’t even count David because he’s sort of a dildo. Though I appreciate his patience with his wife Courtney Cox’s sulky best friend Jennifer Aniston.
I just love the idea of Alexis rolling her eyes whenever she has to see Courtney and Jenn at Thanksgiving or Xmas. You know Aniston tags along despite being terrified of Alexis. Alexis probably gives her the side-eye over her compact and orders more drinks so she can actually deal with her.
Anyhow – Alexis is straight D-list and played roles in various bad films (including Threesome, which is one of the hottest bad movies ever). Anyway, Lex (maybe?) got the chop and documented her gender switch in 2007 in a film called Alexis Arquette: She’s My Brother.
Alexis 39 today and everyone’s brother. Uh…sister. She’s one ugly lady, but still a beautiful soul.

I actually like all the Arquettes just a bit more than i normally would because they weren’t a shower of bastards when Alexis needed to change. You know how most families would act.
