The wizards have it.  Us Weekly reports that Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 earned $475.6 million worldwide in its opening weekend.  This number earns the film the best showing of all time.  Death Hallows 2 beat 2009′s Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince, which earned $394 million worldwide opening weekend, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Of the $475.6 million, $307 was made internationally, while $168.8 million was made in the US and Canada.  The Dark Knight is second to the North American release, earning $158 million its opening weekend back in 2008.

Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and Daniel Radcliffe were emotional at the worldwide premiere in London; Watson was seen wiping tears away from her eyes.  Of the franchise’s end, Radcliffe told CNN, “I’ve had such an amazing time on Potter. It’s been such an extraordinary experience to work with, essentially, the same group of people for 10 years.  You develop such close bonds with so many people.”
