Harry Potter Rules The World

Damn, that’s a lot of sales. Did you know J.K. Rowling’s the best selling author in history. HISTORY. Anyway, sales for the newest and final Harry Potter book were interstellar. I hope she’s making bank off this.

The final book in the Harry Potter series sold an estimated 8.3 million copies in its first 24 hours of sale, setting a new record for the book industry, according to U.S. publisher Scholastic.

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” went on sale at midnight Friday to the delight of fans, who have been eagerly awaiting the last in the seven-book series about the boy wizard.

More than 325 million books have been sold around the world from the Potter series. I didn’t really feel Harry (ok, that was worded oddly) until I saw this latest flick – which is really good. There’s a lot of sexy British teens running around Hogwart’s. Are they legal? Is Seamus legal? Can someone find out? I need to get on a jet and then apparently a magical train or some shit.

This is how big Harry Potter is. In my town book sales started at midnight Saturday. People were WAITING IN LINE prior to midnight to buy the book. I know this because my geeky roommate was one of those nerds. Can you believe it?? For freakin’ book!

    J. Harvey,
He’s 19 , so you are good to go!

    Jeanie,
I’d much rather see kids & parents camp out for a book instead of the latest game station zombie maker!

Good point, Clarisse. Me too. Though I didn’t know people waiting in line for games either. I can only condone waiting in line for a movie.

Today is Daniel Radcliffe’s (Harry Potter) birthday. He turns 18 and had access to $20 million of his trust fund as of today.
