New York:

If you want to see a movie about Edie Sedgwick but don’t really care much for Sienna Miller and that underwear-over-the-pants business, the Museum of the Moving Image is showing a fantastic series on Sedgwick – including no Sienna and footage shot by Andy Warhol himself. [Link]

Mika is giving an in store performance at Borders Columbus Circle on Friday at 4:00 so practically everyone who can get out of work early will be there by noon. I doubt high profile fans like JC Chasez and Lance Bass will attend, but Mika’s more than enough. [Link]

Los Angeles:

NY-bred band TV on the Radio is putting on two shows this weekend at the Henry Fonda Theatre. Those without tickets can hang out at home with the band’s new EP, “Radio, Live at Amoeba Music”. It’s almost as good as the real thing. [Link]

The 15th Annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design Exhibition is currently on display at FIDM (Lauren Conrad’s school of choice) and there’s absolutely no charge to attend. Go and see costumes from “Memoirs of a Geisha”, “Marie Antoinette” and more. [Link]

Chicago:

The national tour of “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf”, starring Kathleen Turner and Bill Irwin, is now playnig at the LaSalle Bank Theatre. The actors have been performing together since 2005, but they’re only in Chicago for two weeks, so see them while you can. [Link]

San Francisco might be getting ready to ban plastic bags entirely, but Chicago’s also got a few good ideas up its sleeve. Grab your old plastic bags and attend Saturday’s “How To” lecture at the A+D Gallery and learn how to turn your unwanted bags into all sorts of cool things. [Link]
