At these past Emmys, Heidi Klum was dripping in jewelry–$2.8 million dollars worth, to be exact. The jewels were from Mouawad, a fine jewelry house with a century-old history with whom Klum is collaborating to launch The Heidi Klum collection. In addition to that, she is also premiering a collection for QVC in September.

Holy crap. When did supermodels start getting so damn smart? Call me old-fashioned, but I like to think of my models as vacant, coke-snorting, rock-star fucking maniacs who eventually just collapse in a pile of dust. Not human beings with brains and a shrewd business sense. It’s like the whole world’s gone topsy-turvy.
