Helen Mirren recently did a very candid interview with Britain’s GQ magazine.  The 63-year-old actress admitted to reporters that she was date-raped a “couple of times” in her younger years, but didn’t report them because “you couldn’t do that in those days.”

Quite the tragic story, but Helen doesn’t stop there. She calls date-rape a “tricky area.” The best-dresed dame considers it rape if a couple is engaged in sexual activity and at the last second the woman says no, but added ,”I don’t think she can have that man into court under those circumstances. I guess it is one of the subtle parts of the men/women relationship that has to be negotiated and worked out between them.”

Well. To each her own, but I suppose it makes me feel a little better knowing that in the rest of the interview Helen discusses her love of cocaine.
