Now that we’ve witnessed the immense insanity that is Hurricane Sandy, modern technology seems much more reliable and safe, not to mention more predictable than a natural disaster. According to Daily Mail, photographer Martin from Cargospotter captured some amazing images of jumbo jets landing one after the other at London’s Heathrow Airport.
Martin used time lapse technology to film the planes landing and sped up the images by 17 times their normal speed, making them appear like children’s remote control airplane toys in the park. Fans have marveled at the planes bobbing up and down precariously in the wind. Martin was excited about the large reception of viewers on his YouTube channel.
“This is my first video from London Heathrow,” he said. “This video shows how short the distances between approaching planes at LHR are. Thanks for watching and I hope you like it.”
Martin was able to capture this footage using a Canon 5D Mark II camera with a 100-400mm lens with a 2x teleconverter.
