Hilary told People magazine at the 18th GLAAD Media Awards in NYC about her first in-person encounter with her ex, Joel Madden.
“I just did TRL today and Joel was there, and it was the first time we’d seen each other and it was so, like, nerve-racking.”
The nineteen-year-old was an item with the “Good Charlotte” bandmate for almost two and a half years and had a really mature outlook on the whole situation.
“It was a little strange at first, but I wish nothing but good for him and I know that he wishes the same for me,” Duff told PEOPLE. “I’m happy and he’s happy and I think that’s all that counts.”
As much as I may joke about her chiclet veneers and wish that she wouldn’t seem to be avoiding food as diligently as she is, I do think she seems like a pretty nice, well-behaved little starlet. I mean, if she were of the Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan persuasion, I’m sure that she would have thrown an angry fuck his best friend’s way during the encounter just to show him that she was clearly so over him.

FINALLY, a starlet with some class! I know everybody pokes fun at her (yeah, her clothing choices are a bit on the tacky side), but I love her because the girl’s got some morals and sticks to them.
