The rumor that Hilary Duff will be appearing on the CW series has been confirmed by E! Duff, who has been network-hopping with guest roles on Law & Order: SVU and Ghost Whisperer, will make a turn as a movie star attending college.

Hilary will play Olivia, the roommate to Vanessa (played by Jessica Szohr) who hopes to blend into her surroundings despite her international fame.

Penn Badgley‘s Dan Humphrey meets Olivia, who is charmed by his apparent ignorance of her paparazzi-magnetic existence. It would seem a role perfectly-suited for Hilary, who can’t even go out for coffee and Pilates without being photographed.
