Duff that is.

During her one month “Guest Editor” opportunity for “Seventeen” magazine Hilary Duff was kind enough to hand out some financial advice in the October issue.

“So many of my friends have started getting credit cards, and the banks don’t really tell you how this works, like ‘Do this, but don’t do that.’ So it was important for me to put financial info in there, to let kids know that you have to pay attention to certain things and not fall into a trap.”

She goes on to explain that she has absorbed information on the ways of investing from her manager. The past two years she has taken the interest of her own money into her hands versus letting someone handle her money as they please. Duff also admits she was “clueless” when it came to where her money was going.

Great notion, but how many 13-17 year-olds do you know have credit cards and a financial portfolio?
