Tina Knowles (otherwise known as the vessel which held “Destiny’s Child” in her womb during its gestation–AKA Beyonce’s mom) recently acquired the gig of dressing the New Jersey Nets Dancers. It’s no big surprise, really, because B’s boyfriend, Jay-Z happens to be one of the owners of the New Jersey Nets. From Page Six of the New York Post:

Deréon, the junior apparel collection from House of Deréon, which is designed by Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Knowles, was just named official sponsor of the Nets Dancers, who entertain on the hardwood at halftime and timeouts. “The Nets Dancers are such a fun part of going to the games,” said Tina. “We are thrilled to be able to provide Deréon wardrobe for these ex tremely talented young women.”

Let’s just hope the Nets Dancers don’t end up looking too much like Danity Kane, lest I get confused. I kid! I kid, because I care.
