As promised, Hugh Jackman made a surprise appearance at Petco Park during Comic Con 2011 to promote his new film, Real Steel. Jackman handed out swag to his fans and told Entertainment Tonight, “I love their passion and their energy. I’m genuinely so excited to share with them about this new movie because I know they’re going to dig it.”

Jackman announced to fans that he’ll start filming Wolverine 2 (or The Wolverine, as it’s being tentatively called) in Japan this October. Though director Darren Aronofsky did step down from the project, plans are still underway with new director James Mangold.
Not news. Hugh talked about it during his concert series, “Hugh Jackman in Concert” from July 5-17: how filming was delayed because of the catastrophe in Japan, how he’s naturally slim so bulking up and remaining bulked up is hard for him, etc..
