Along with the success of X-Men 3, Hugh Jackman has one more reason to celebrate. The actor and his wife have offically adopted their daughter Ava who was born via surrogacy last year.
Hugh Jackman has officially adopted baby daughter Ava after a tearful court hearing earlier this month. The actor and his wife became parents to the little girl last year through surrogacy and spent months cutting through red tape to make her his second adopted child. Jackman admits the adoption hearing was a truly joyful experience: “We did the official adoption last week in her home county so we went there and we went to this little courthouse and the judge was so happy because he spends his day with divorces and things like that, so to have an adoption is a happy occasion. “We, of course, cried the entire time and Ava just flirted with the judge, picked up his gavel and started eating it.” Jackman and his wife adopted son Oscar in May 2000.

why would he have to adopt his surrogate child? i thought surrogate was like invetro with another woman carrying the baby.

It wasn’t a surrogate birth – Ava is adopted, just like their son Oscar – Hugh said in a recent interview that she’s Mexican and German. And Hugh and his wife have spoken numerous times about the problems his wife had trying to get pregnant, which happens to a lot of women. They even tried IVF, and she had numerous miscarriages.
His wife looks alot older than him, that might be the reason. I’ve often wondered why such a hot guy like him would want someone who looks like she does. She must have a good personality.
Halle is a trip though…although she has this apparent boyfriend…she tells Hugh Jackman that the worst thing about working with him is that he’s so hot and married…implying she would date him if he were available. One can say she is just playing, BUT this is the second time Halle has implied her crush on Hugh. A few years ago on The View…I have the clip to prove it…Halle said if she were a white man…she would want to be Hugh Jackman…when asked why…she said…he’s the perfect guy — he’s great with his kids, he’s funny, etc…he’s perfect…and Barbara was like there are no perfect guys and Halle was like…yeah that’s my problem…so Halle DEFINITELY has a thing — it may be little or it might be big — but she definitely has a thing for Hugh….

Countrybabe, Hugh’s wife is partially resposible for the Hugh we know today. Before they married, Hugh was a big time whore. It’s been said that he had slept with over 200 women before his wife tamed him. I would love to know her secret….she should write a book.
