This is another example of American Cultural Imperialism and commercialization. Halloween is not an Australian Tradition. Woolahra is a suburb of Sydney. If he rang my door bell I would tell him to piss off back to America.

We tend to accept all types of celebrations from many different cultures. As Australians we are aware that there is a world out there that has different cultural traditions to us. Apparently you are not aware of that. Pity. BTW check out where Halloween actually comes from.
A couple of years ago I had some people put a very polite note in my letter box asking if I would be happy for their children to trick or treat at my home and if I was to put a sign on the gate. I did and they came to my house and they were really happy little kids. Wrong? Nope just another way for neighbours to interact and respect each other.
