Best known for his role of Boone on Lost, Ian Somerhalder is set to join the cast of the upcoming CW series Vampire Diaries.
The series is based on a book series centering on a woman who is in love with two vampire brothers, one who’s evil and one who’s good.
Somerhalder will be taking on the role of charming vampire Damon, whose personality harbors evil tendencies. Being undead is totally the new black.

Ian Somerhalder, is a published homophobe. Ian was called the “gayhater” by Logo/365 Gay.com for his anti-gay statements on the Rules of Attraction DVD. He was also written up in WENN for this, 2 years later.
No only did Ian call Gays disgusting, he refused to apologize for it. I am guessing this entire TV series, is going to get a big backlash from the Gay community, when it comes out. Be prepared!
