News Bites: Zac Efron To Sing His Way Through ECON 101?

-International heartthrob Zac Efron was seen leaving Walt Disney Studios carrying a number of scripts in hand. Could there possibly be a HSM sequel in the future? Community College Musical, perhaps?

-John Mayer met Jennifer Aniston's father John Aniston, as well as Jennifer's stepmom and according E!, the crooner won parental approval. The three met over dinner at the Polo Lounge and according to a snitch, "Jen's dad seemed very impressed with John and the two got on real well."

-The artist formerly known as Michael Jackson has now changed his name to Mikaeel as part of his new move of embracing the Muslim faith. Raised as a Jehovah's Witness, the Thriller singer has joined his brother Jermaine Jackson in following the teachings of Islam. Jermaine said, "Michael and I and the word of God, we could do so much."

Angelina Jolie's Tattooed Booty

Unlike her partner Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie isn't nearly as squeamish about flaunting her tattoos. In fact, a rare peek at her the thin actress' behind reveals a large tiger tattoo that Jolie obtained on a trip to Thailand in 2004. These images became available with the DVD release of Wanted.

But more than any of her on-screen abilities, Jolie's talent for crafting her public persona might be her strongest skill. Amazingly, Angie is hands-on about the way she handles her image, without the aid of an agent or publicist--a feat that is unheard of in Hollywood, especially for a star of her caliber.

She seems to be doing just fine according to the NY Times, who reveal that she maintains a likability score (Q score) that is far above the average.

Granted, the curly-haired blond is no stranger to showing off some skin, but a nipple hardly compares to some barely-concealed pirate's booty.

What have we learned here ladies? There's a reason it's called a jog bra.

Reese Witherspoon Dismisses Vince Vaughn Feud Rumors

Known for being the consummate professional, Reese Witherspoon chatted with The Envelope in order to squelch any talk that she and her 4 Christmases co-star Vince Vaughn bumped heads during the filming of their holiday movie.

Witherspoon denied there was on-set tension by saying, "We were very good friends and were very much partners on this movie." However, she did say that their drastic height difference (he's 6'5" and she's 5'2") required special coordination on set.

"It was hard to get up there to kiss him, but we worked it out. And he had to pick me up for half the dancing. He's actually holding me in the air so we can stay in the same frame. He's a fantastic dancer."

Guy Ritchie & Madonna Divorce Finalized

November 21, 2008

Opting for a quick and fairly painless severing of ties (as far as celebrity divorces go), super pop diva Madonna and Guy Ritchie are now officially no longer a couple. And good for them. Might as well rip it off like a Band-Aid nice and fast!

Proceedings indicate that Madonna and Guy came to a custody agreement outside of the courts over their children. A source told the Daily Mail, "On paper anyway, Guy will not take any money. However all the security, travel and any other arrangements with the children will be funded by Madonna."

Honestly, it's amazing it lasted as long as it did. Here's to 8 years! That's gotta stand for something!

Robert Pattinson Proposed to Kristen Stewart

In case you haven't heard, this movie Twilight is opening in theatres across the country today. That piercing, high-pitched squealing noise you're hearing is the sound of the estrogen tsunami rolling throughout the land. It is not, no matter what you're told, the result of me cutting my nails too short this morning.

The film has received positive reviews, and almost 2,000 screenings are already sold out, no doubt helped by star Robert Pattinson. Co-star Kristen Stewart says that Pattinson has the killer looks for the job, saying he's "pretty sexy". Curiously, she also claimed that Pattinson proposed marriage to her on set. However, it appears that this was not a real proposal, the kind you give the girl you're going to marry, but rather a fake proposal, the kind you give a girl during that awkward time between getting her pregant and moving out of the city.

"I mean, I don't know how serious he was, but yes," Stewart says. "We spent a lot of time together, a lot of like really heightened time."

"I can't remember proposing to her," Pattinson says, adding that he pops the question to women as a good conversation starter. "It used to be my thing, I would propose all the time," Pattinson says. "Just go up to someone, you know, and say I love you or ask them to marry you. It always works."

Pete Wentz Was A Chick Tease

The self-described "superlate bloomer" told Elle magazine that he strove to keep his number of sexual partners low out of deference for his future wife.

"I'm a bit of a tease. I'd make out with a lot of people but not go beyond that," Pete Wentz said of his romantic experiences before committing to his wife and mother of his kiddos Ashlee Simpson.

Any jokes we might make about his guyliner and flat-ironed hair are all in good fun, as this tidbit of info makes him seem like a really good guy. And now we find out he's a guy in a rock band who isn't a total slut. Consider our hearts melted.
