While we are still waiting for photos from most of this summer’s celebrity spawn, the Spears clan already made a deal for Jamie Lynn’s baby girl Maddie Briann Aldridge. Photos of mommy and baby have been published in OK! Magazine, and Maddie is just adorable!
Jamie Lynn looks great and very comfortable in the home she shares with boyfriend Casey Aldridge far away from the hubbub of Hollywood. “Around here, everyone has the same focus,” she said. “The focus is family, and that’s a good way to live.”
Many rumors circulated about drama in the delivery room, but Jamie Lynn says it went very smoothly, except for having to be induced. “I had a perfect pregnancy and a perfect delivery. I was very blessed,” she said.

Not a very good role model: Being a mom is the best feeling in the world!! We certainly don’t want all our 17 year old daughters to think it’s the thing to do.

ok, the message isn’t great…….teenage motherhood isn’t really the thing if it can be avoided…..but good for her for going through with the pregnancy and keeping the child.
Awful bloody hairdo though. did they dye the top of it grey to make her look mature? Sack the stylist!

yea, i think the hairdoo was intentional, maybe they thought if they made her look older we might not remember that she is only a child herself, i wonder if hers will be taken away from her in a couple of years?

maybe thats why her hair looks so bad–she hasn’t dyed it in a while….?
but its really sad that she didn’t even get a chance to really do anything with her career. her sister wasn’t the best role model, either, and her entire family just sort of makes me sad…

Everyone makes it seem as if she’s dead. Her career, her life, her womanhood, her sense of self. So what if she had a baby at 17 years…if she’s going to be a good mom, then this is truly a blessing in disguise. We need “good” mother role models out there. And her career isn’t over. There are plenty of women who’ve had careers before, during and after pregnancy. Plus, why bash her for not being like her sister!!!! It takes courage, guts and a lot of spirit to do what she’s done. I bet many young and older women don’t even have the guts as much as she has. Plus, she’s already in the business…she can come back from this in a snap. Cynism is what kills great wishes and good faith. Have some spirit and live your own life for a change. At least Jamie-Lyn Spears is still moving ahead. What about you?
