It’s Hard Out There For A Pimp

You have to love the lengths that fashion houses will go to. Emails with photos of celebs wearing various labels at red carpet events manage to find their way into media outlets. WWD reports on a tactic that Prada and Miu Miu have utilized.

“They send out paparazzi shots of starlets like Kiera Knightley and Jessica Biel carrying their bags. Last month, Prada sent e-mail blasts featuring the actresses carrying its directional metallic handbags while strolling down a London street and arriving at Los Angeles Airport, respectively. In describing Biel’s silver Gauffre bag, the release stated, ‘This is one of the most important bags from the Prada spring/summer 2007 collection and it retails for $2,835.’”

A member of Jessica Biel’s style entourage, Estee Stanly, said that she was unaware that the paparazzi photos were sent by Prada. She also mentioned that Jessica picked out the bag all by herself.

Gee, who knew that fashion houses made celebrities their bitches? *Sigh* Although I wouldn’t complain. I’m already a slut for Manolos.

One of the “most important”? What are the other bags, pieces of shit? I demand equal consideration for all bags in the spring/summer 2007 collection!

I might be in the dark, but I have to ask… Is this chick just famous for her looks, because I can’t recall anything she’s ever been in (anything good, I mean). I mean seriously…at least Scarjo has a resume’.

I was thinking along the same lines as you TBone. I’m not buying this girl as an IT girl, it seems so forced and not something that is taking hold naturally, if that makes any sense. Not that much in LA happens naturally but you know what I mean…

It’s a very “important” bag for Prada and their profits. Am I the only one who thinks the bag is hideous and actually looks cheap?

No Pizda you aren’t the only one. It’s quite hideous and cheap looking.
