TLC has announced that the reality TV program formerly known as Jon & Kate Plus 8 will now simply be known as Kate Plus 8. In the wake of the divorce of the show’s stars, Jon and Kate Gosselin, it seems the TV network is siding with Mama Kate in the face of sharply declining ratings.
The reality TV matriarch’s on-screen career has been on fire since the couple’s split, with Kate stepping in as guest host on The View, during Elisabeth Hasselbeck‘s maternity leave. In addition, she recently filmed a talk show pilot costarring Paula Deen.
Well, hopefully, all this hubbub about Kate will die down shortly and the show will eventually just be, Plus 8.
