Five days after Dennis Hopper lost his battle with pancreatic cancer he was laid to rest today (June 2) with a memorial Mass at the historic San Francisco de Asis church in Ranchos de Taos, a favorite of Hopper’s, followed by a private burial.

While much of Hollywood remembered Hopper with thoughtful words , Jack Nicholson and Val Kilmer joined relatives and friends today in San Francisco. Not sure why Val looks so chipper and strange. Guess the peyote kicked in and he caught a glimpse of his old friend for one last goodbye. Everyone grieves differently.
