James Van Der Beek Denied ‘DWTS’ and Seeing Katie Holmes

At least the first part is confirmed. In a recent interview with E! Online James Van Der Beek confirmed that he declined an offer to be a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. I guess he’s really banking on his television comeback in ABC’s Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23 to be a success!

“I was too busy working. It looks like fun, but it’s just a huge time commitment,” said Van Der Beek.

But with an interview that starts off with, “Are you allowed to see Katie Holmes?” No one really cares about the show, which pokes fun at his Dawson’s Creek glory days.

While Apartment 23 creator, Nahnatchka Kahn, joked at the 2012 Winter TCA Tour held at The Langham Huntington Hotel and Spa on January 10, 2012 in Pasadena, California., “Yes [James is], but no one else is. She’s going to be guest starring on our show in a black shroud.”

Van Der Beek stayed mum, laughed and shrugged the question off.

He must still be upset about Olivia being denied a play date with Suri Cruise. Hmm.
